DESICE
Enhancing circular economy through innovative design

The DESICE project aims to improve the implementation of regional and local policies in the field of circular economy, with a specific focus on enhancing the capacity of product designers. The project is a collaboration between 8 partners from 7 EU countries and utilizes an integrated five steps approach with: problem characterization, identication of good practices, joint analysis and solution search, knowledge and practices transfer, and policy changes. The project also includes monitoring of results to assess the effectiveness of the implemented policies.
The main issue addressed in the project is the challenges faced by local governments in transitioning to circular design principles due to financial constraints, lack of staff, and the need for new technologies and business models. The project aims to address these challenges by identifying good practices and innovative business models related to circular design of products and services.
