KnowledgeAnalytics

Advanced analytics for knowledge transfer monitoring and evaluation

Due to the rapid advancements in data analytics (technologies, methods, skills), decision-making is increasingly becoming data-driven. The application of advanced analytics has immense potential to promote eciency in a wide range of elds – the transfer of knowledge (KT) between science and business and knowledge valorisation is not an exception. Realising this opportunity, KnowledgeAnalytics aims to explore the opportunities provided by articial intelligence, big data, data scraping, data visualization and other technologies to develop ecient public interventions dedicated to supporting KT between science and business.

The adoption of advanced analytics in R&D&I policy is particularly important to move towards evidence-based and targeted policy interventions. However, this transition is challenging not only for public sector organizations (policymakers, policy analysts) but also for science and research organizations, the business community and others involved, as it requires the application of new working methods and technologies, increased competencies, and implementation of changes in organizational culture, data management, etc. KnowledgeAnalytics will therefore facilitate mutual learning and knowledge exchange between the different project partner countries.
